experimented with scale, material, composition, layers and considered how will the model wear it.
while developing the idea from the small sample from day 1, i developed the idea to armour.
sketching cubes shape, to triangles, to cones and see which one stands out and blends with the topic.
I even tried design wings on the back of this outfit as a concept, to try and stand out.
The final idea.

Reflect/Evaluation
I very much enjoyed fashion and textiles, this may be because of the minimal restriction i had and i was able to use my imagination and creativity much more. However usually i find task with less guidance or aim rather difficult but surprisingly this week i was able to carry out the task well. I would agree that my piece was a success because it was what i aimed to do in my sketches and i finished on time too, i tried to stand out more with this piece and i think it grabs people's attention due to the deliberate sharp edges and the 3Dness of it. It was rather conceptional and therefore different, it didn't seem to be a wearable piece. The overall task, i learnt that this pathway is rather concept based work which i liked, i thought that it was to do with more materials and fabrics which i am not very confident with. I realised how just simple card and paper can be manipulated into such strong costumes. Also i learnt the importance of sketching, without the plan and the sketches i don't think i would have been able to finish or the final outcome would not have been as good. As well as this by looking at other student works, i get inspiration every second around the room and even while making my costume which was a new experience i had during this week.
There were parts which i didn't do as well, some parts were rather fragile and was difficult to be put on by the model, i could have considered the supportivness and the weight more to improve this product.
Although it is my first time doing fashion and textiles, i felt rather comfortable with the work, probably due to the fact i enjoyed it a lot, and that there were lots of freedom for me to express my creativity.
