I started just sketching different things that related to weather, i did not think about an idea at all. While drawing different types of ideas down, they slowly and gradually gave me ideas that i could further develop. I had ideas to do with slow motion videos - capturing lightning, weather in films, how weather can change the whole setting of a set etc and more.
Further on the week, i developed an idea using psychology as i studied it for A level, i remembering doing a bit work on colour and mood. I related what i learnt to this weather project as of course we feel different emotions when the weather changes.
Continuing with the colour option, i had an idea of cocktails as they give very vibrant colour, - this developed into making a cocktail menu.
Although i found it difficult at the beginning, it began to flow much smoother after a day or two of literal doodling and sketching, the ideas came one after another and they started to combine together.
Initial the menu would be rather photography based where it would be a double spread page selling on drink, on the left hand side is a scenery page of the weather and on the right it would be the picture of the cocktail - the colour of the drink will relate the weather on the opposite side.
I developed the idea to more illustrative, trying to make it my own style. My own menu. This is one of the unfinished final piece - i still need to develop the typography and layout.
A rough idea of what i was going for.
Final piece, font and display still needs to be developed.
