After researching into many type of typography, art, colour, packaging, strokes, The 3D type grab my attention as it is bold, and stands out from the crowd. After my research i also thought that colour is important in making the type stand out, especially the shades of colour.
Moving on from the 3D idea, i liked the idea of a box it gave the letter some physical feel. From research i learnt the use of negative space.
Final piece, instead of using colour on the actual letter i used colour around it, the negative space the letter creates. i used the idea of the box so that colour and negative space can be worked around and applied. i used the 3 shades of blue on one side of the square to create a little bit of 3Dness. When looking the alphabet as a whole we can see a sense of 3D.
i chose the colour blue with black as it contrasts well, it is not a very big contrast they are both still rather dark colours unlike black and yellow, this is what i like about it, contrasting in a different way.
Next i may even cover more negative space with the background colour making the letter maybe more harder to red but still readable, more abstracted.
